Aug President's Message
The Peninsula Italian American Social Club is well on track to having another
great year. Your Officers and Board of Directors are continually striving for
more improved and cost effective ways to serve our customer’s needs. We are
addressing much needed maintenance and repairs; however some of our chosen
projects can take longer than originally planned due to outside influences.
Our July General Dinner Meeting was a very enjoyable evening. We were served an outstanding entrée of Osso Bocce. The Pasta dish was mouthwatering. Vice President Pat Dianda created delicious Cannoli for all in attendance. Chef Matteo, Chef Ricardo and Staff are producing excellent meals in both of our venues, Banquets and Ristorante Italiano. Manager Tony Vitrano has guided our servers to become the best I have observed in my years at the Club. I have an obligation to inform you of things that have a negative impact on our Club. At the end of the evening, Members were lined up to purchase take home meals that were extra and not served. One of our Members verbally abused one of our Employees, including strong profanity. This Member has been warned in the past about his behavior involving another incident. I am proud to say I represent our Club which consists of Members of impeccable character; however we will not tolerate such behavior. After the incident, I apologized to the Employee for the Member as he had already left the Club.
