MARCH 2005 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Our appreciation to Pierina and Alfred Lucchesi, who chaired our Valentine Dinner-Dance on February 12. This remarkable couple, assisted by a stellar supporting cast, brought us fantastic decorations and one of the best Valentine Dinner-Dances yet at the PIASC. The evening could not have been better. It included a sumptuous dinner with all the trimmings, excellent bottled wine, and romantic 50’s and 60’s music provided by the Brothers and Friends Band. A great big thank youto Pierina, Alfredo, and everyone else who was involved with this marvelous affair.

I am sorry that we could not accommodate everyone who wanted to come to the Valentine Dinner-Dance, as we were already sold out a number of weeks prior to the event. The same applies to our Crab Dinner scheduled for February 19. I remind you that to make sure you get your tickets for these popular events, you need to order the tickets as soon as possible after you read about the event in the Pensogram.

Chairpersons for this year’s Carnevale Night Dinner-Dance on March 12 are Mary and Giuliano Giuntoli. Mary and Giuliano and their committee have planned an event full of fun for everyone. So, my suggestion is not to procrastinate in requesting your tickets. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, a lavish dinner, bottled wine, and the wonderful music of the Lou Roselli Band. If you have a costume, wear it, and you will have more fun. If you don’t have a costume, don’t worry. Come anyway, you will still have a wonderful time.

Our annual Scholarship Dinner-Dance on April 9 is brought to you by the PSC Scholarship Foundation. The event features a great dinner and live music for dancing by the popularRon Zucca Band. It also includes a raffle and silent auction. The Foundation has already received very significant donations to its scholarship fund from several individuals (Mr. Monaco and Mr. Menna), and this dinner-dance should raise additional funds. Please attend this year’s event, have fun, enjoy a wonderful dinner, and in the process help the Foundation in its fund-raising efforts. The price of the dinner and dance is only $30. The funds raised will be used to financially assist well-deserving high school seniors who wish to further their formal education by going to college.

Grazie a tutti.Ciao.

Emil Bagneschi
