Thank you for electing me as President again for the eighth consecutive year. I appreciate your trust in me. Congratulations to everyone who was elected to hold office for next year. Thank you also to the eight candidates who are running for the three vacant Board positions.

Good luck to all of you. Voting to fill these three positions will take place at the general meeting in December.

This year’s Columbus Day Italian-American Heritage Celebration held in the beautiful Old Courthouse in Redwood City netted $6,240, before matching funds by the Gupta family. This amount was donated to the San MateoCounty Historical Museum to enhance the permanent exhibit of the Italian Immigrants Photo and Memorabilia collection. The PIASC is very proud of its role in this event.

A great big thank you to chairpersons Romolo and Angela Cappello and their committee for putting on a wonderful Sicilian Night Dinner Dance on Saturday, November 13. The fresh flowers and the decorations were outstanding, perfectly complementing the color scheme for the evening. The food was very delicious and plentiful, and the Italica Band was as great as ever. Many compliments were received from a lot of people attending. It seems that everyone present was in a very festive mood, and enjoyed the evening very much. Sorry that we could not accommodate all of your guests due to our selling out.

We look forward to seeing you at the Workers Party on December 5, the Children’s Christmas Party on December 12, and the fabulous New Year’s Eve Party on December 31.

Thank you for your support throughout the year. A great big thank you especially to the many volunteers who spend an enormous amount of time doing what is necessary to keep the Club running. The Club is for all of us, and, with your great support, we intend to continue to make it a very pleasant place for all to enjoy, to enjoy each other’s company, good food, good times, and to celebrate our rich Italian culture.
