Peninsula Italian American Social Club President's Message

	JULY 2004 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
	A big thank you to co-chairmen Remo Giuntoli and Angelo Fanucchi and their committee for a wonderful Festa dei Cacciatori. A delicious authentic Italian meal and great Italian music was enjoyed by all. Thank you also to the guest chefs and to everyone who donated the meat, the items for the raffle, the biscotti, and the home made wine. Plan to attend the Festa Italiana events, including the street fair on Sunday, July 25. Besides being a lot of fun for everyone, the net proceeds benefit the various programs for developmentally challenged children and adults. Thank you, John and Pat Giosso for your hard work, year after year. Western Night at the PIASC takes place in a relaxed atmosphere and is always a lot of fun. This year’s event is on Friday, August 13, and is chaired by David Fanucchi. It includes a great BBQ steak dinner and the fabulous Ron Zucca Band. We will have an interesting and exciting new event at the PIASC on Saturday, August 28, called “Vieni A Tavola” (Come To The Table). The PIASC is the Lead Sponsor of this event. If you want to experience an exciting program and excellent Italian food, plan on attending. (See details in the enclosed flyer). The PIASC annual Club Picnic will be held on Sunday, August 29, at Flood Park in Menlo Park. This event is chaired by Mike Martinelli. More details in next month’s Pensogram. I hope to see you at most of these events. As we approach July 4th, let us remember the many contributions and sacrifices that our forefathers made to bring us the freedom we all enjoy today in this wonderful country.
