In
March, Tomales High School hosted ten students and two teachers
from its partner school, Liceo Pascasino in Marsala, Italy. During
the group’s stay, the visiting students and host students shared
a variety of activities together while learning about each other’s
language and culture.
The Tomales High School Student Exchange Program with Italy began
in 1998, initiated by leaders Cathy and Spence Burton from Tomales
and principal Sergio Panunzio from Sciacca, Italy. The projects
first exchanges were with the Istituto Tecnico Agrario in Sciacca
and now another partner school, the Liceo Pascasino in Marsala
has been added.
