I congratulate and thank John Minoli for chairing a great crab feed on February 27, 2004. Kudos also to chef Norman and his kitchen crew for the hard work and the delicious food. The crowd at this sold out event could not have been treated to a more wonderful feast than they were.

This year’s Carnevale Night Dinner-Dance on March 13, which featured fabulous decorations, costumes, delicious food, and beautiful dancing music by Italica was once again a wonderful affair. Our beautifully decorated hall was definitely a perfect setting for one of the best celebrations of the year at the PIASC. Congratulation and a big thank you to chairpersons Dino and Marlene Belluomini and their committee. Thank you also to everyone who came dressed in a costume. It certainly added to the festive atmosphere of the night.

The very successful winter bocce tournament culminated with playoffs, the award of trophies to the winners, and a delicious dinner and dancing at the Club on Sunday, March 14. Thanks to Adriano Undorte, Max Antoniazzi, Bap Cava, and Rose Viscuso for organizing and running such a fun event.

We look forward to another enjoyable Scholarship Foundation Dinner-Dance on Saturday, April 3, chaired by Ed and Elaine Battistini. A great dinner, beautiful dancing music, a raffle, silent auction, and plenty of fun are in store for everyone who attends. See you there.

The PIASC brings us a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner, with flowers for the ladies, and entertainment, on Sunday, May 9. Then, the Steve Balich Band comes to town, ready to play for us at our annual Venetian Night Dinner-Dance on Saturday, May 15, and our Festa dei Cacciatori Night on Saturday, May 22.

Our dinner at the April general dinner meeting will feature polenta and baccalá (of course, chicken can be substituted for baccalá, if someone prefers it). But, please let us know your choice ahead of time.

As an added attraction, the April lunch will include about 35 minutes of entertainment by the “Highlighters” of “Broadway By The Bay”. This popular group will bring us their famous program, called, “A Tribute to America”.
