JANUARY 2004 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

I want to thank chairpersons Romolo and Angela Cappello and their committee for another  beautiful sold out Sicilian Night Dinner Dance. It was truly a perfect event in every sense of the word.  A job well done indeed.  Only  two club events remain for this year – the Children’s Christmas Party, including lunch,  and the New Year’s Eve Dinner-Dance.  We are happy to report that both events are sold out at this time.

Also, thank you for electing me to be president again in 2004.  How did the Club do in 2003?  It appears that the Club will finish 2003 very strong and in the black for the entire year.  The financial results were not quite as strong as 2002 (an exceptional year), but we are happy, nonetheless, considering the weak economy and the Club’s charitable activities.  We are also proud of having a growing waiting list to join the Club, which now stands at nearly 100.

I want to thank all the board members, officers, committee chairpersons, event chairpersons, and other volunteers for all your hard work throughout the year.  I also want to thank each one of you members for your great participation and support throughout the year. You are the reason the Club is so successful.

Congratulations to the winners of the Board of Directors and the Sergeant at Arms races.  I believe that some very fine and energetic members were elected to office, and this bodes well for the Club in the coming year.

A Sincere Wish to Everyone for a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year.
