As we are about to conclude another very successful year at the
PSC, I want to thank all of you for your continuing support throughout
the year. We could not have done it without your hard work
and dedication. I also appreciate your trust in electing me
to be President again next year. I will do my best for the well
being of the Club and to try to preserve our glorious Italian heritage
and the legacy left by our forefathers. One of the main accomplishments
this past year was the extensive remodeling of our downstairs restrooms.
I think most of you will agree that they came out beautiful. Also
this past year, we participated in several successful fund-raising
events such as Festa Italiana (benefiting PARCA), the Columbus
Day Italian-American Heritage Celebration (benefiting the San Mateo
County Historical Association), and the PSC Scholarship Dinner-Dance
(benefiting our PSC scholarship program). In addition, we
began to update our Club bylaws, with completion scheduled
for early 2003.
Our Club calendar is filling up fast and it appears that the coming
year will be another very busy one. Among our goals for 2003 are
the completion of our bylaws update, improvements to our electrical
systems, strengthening of our operations to make them even more
efficient and successful, holding more cultural events, and doing
more to remind us of our rich Italian culture and heritage. We are
happy that our Club membership is full and our waiting list is long.
This is always gratifying and a great encouragement to Club management.
Thank you all for making this Club one of the premier Italian-American
clubs in the Bay Area.
Many thanks to chairpersons Phyllis and Michael Tognotti, assisted
by Anna Paiva and Janice Salvato, for another very beautiful Children’s
Christmas Party - perhaps the best ever. Thanks also to our chef
Norman for serving a delicious lunch to almost 300 people, and to
Santa Claus (Bob Foppiano) for another great performance.
Thank you all for a job well done.
Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo!
Grazie, Emil Bagneschi
