Our
4th Annual Columbus Day Italian-American heritage Celebration held
in Red-wood City on October 12th was another huge success. Many
thanks to Terry Anderlini, chairperson, and to all his committee
members for all the hard work and for a great party. It was wonderful
to see so many of you enjoying
yourselves
and celebrating our glorious Italian heritage. Our Genovese Night
Dinner-Dance held the same evening at the Peninsula Social Club
was equally successful. Attended by 340 people, it was truly a magnificent
evening. I want to thank chairpersons Ubaldo and Alice Siboldi and
their committee for a beautiful job. Special thanks to Ubaldo and
Alice for making the delicious ravioli filling and sauce, chef Norman
for the outstanding antipasto, and Lou Bini and Dan Ditri for the
wonderful BBQ steaks. Thanks
also
to all of you who attended these two great events. I encourage your
attendance and participation at our next general dinner meeting
on November 12th. This meeting will feature nominations for next
year’s officers and directors. Please come prepared to accept a
nomination and/or to nominate a well-qualified candidate for these
positions. Finally, may I suggest you look over our web site (www.peninsulasocialclub.org)
if you have not done so lately. Thank you, Ed Zanelli, for updating
and maintaining
our beautiful web site. For another neat web site, check out www.italianamericans.com. I enjoyed
browsing it; I hope you do also.
Cordiale
Saluti, Emil Bagneschi
